Where your writing goes - and where it does not.

Text pasted, dropped, or selected from a file is read by code running in your browser. The free analyzer does not send that writing to a Phraseless server, database, model provider, payment processor, or error monitor.

The browser may retain the current field, report, and source-free Writer Profile according to its normal storage rules. You can clear those surfaces in the product. Browser extensions, browser sync, operating-system services, and device settings are outside Phraseless’s control.

When available, the free Read automatically sends exact-schema events about finding rank, proof expansion, explicit calibration, revision attempts, outcomes, failures, and NOT ASSESSED states. Events may include an ephemeral session nonce, a coarse day, genre, latency and length bands, audited template IDs, and action enums.

Those events prohibit writing, excerpts, filenames, document hashes, prompts, URLs, account IDs, provider output, and dynamic text. The browser sends no credentials. You may pause collection and clear events still waiting in that browser.

This is described as source-free and account-free, not anonymous. The production edge-log receipt remains NOT ASSESSED.

If account features are enabled, Clerk processes authentication and session data. Phraseless receives an account identifier needed to determine access. If paid features are enabled, Polar processes checkout and payment information; Phraseless receives customer and entitlement state, not full card numbers. Free local analysis does not require either service.

A model call occurs only after you preview a bounded evidence bundle and consent. The bundle can contain selected evidence excerpts from your writing; it does not contain the raw whole document. The server makes one pinned request through OpenRouter to the declared inference provider, with fallbacks, tools, plugins, and caching disabled where the route contract requires them.

Phraseless does not persist that request or returned interpretation. OpenRouter and the selected inference provider process the request under their own policies; inspect the provider disclosure before opting in.

Cloudflare necessarily processes network request metadata to serve the site. Server-side error monitoring can receive an error type, route, release, and environment, but is configured not to send request bodies, writing, account identity, or default personal data. Client-side error capture is disabled so a browser-local writing session is not exported.

You may use the product without enabling optional model comparison, paid feedback, or account features. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, export, or object to processing of personal data.

Privacy requests will use privacy@phraseless.ink. Mailbox delivery and operator identity must be verified before public launch.

Phraseless is not directed to children under 13. Material privacy changes will be dated here and, for account holders, disclosed in-product or through the account contact route before they take effect when required.
